Workshop on this week, but not in holidays

Our regular Tuesday 12pm-3pm workshops on the Quadrangle Lawn will be running this week as usual, but the Easter holidays are the week after, so we’ll be having a week off. We’ll be back in week 6 on Tuesday 21st April with some sweet new workshops!

New tools

We’ve got new tools for our weekly bike repair workshops.

We (finally!) have some screwdrivers, and also tools for removing a couple of different types of freewheels (Suntour and BMX/single). Not only that, we’ve got a brand new chain wear tool, so you can know when to replace your chain before your cassette cogs are worn beyond saving.

Want to find out what these tools are, and how to use them? Come along to our workshops!

Bike donations needed

Do you have an old bike sitting in your garage? Want to give it a new lease on life? Donate it to the UNSW Bike Club!

We take old bikes, refurbish them, and then loan them to students.

We can collect it from you if you live in a 30min driving radius of UNSW. If you live close we’ll collect it on foot.

If you’ve got a bike to donate, emailĀ bike-email

Extended workshop hours

Our regular Tuesday bike maintenance and repair workshops, held on the Quadrangle Lawn kicked off this week. Chain cleaning and oiling, and gear adjustment was the focus, and it was good to see everyone get their hands dirty.

Aditya and Jacqui (who both have class 12-2) will be keeping the workshop running for an extra hour, so our workshops will now be running 12pm-3pm.

Got a problem with your bike? Want to learn how to fix it? See you Tuesday!

Workshops: Tuesdays 12-2pm

This semester, our regular bike repair and maintenance workshops will be held every Tuesday, 12pm-2pm on the Quadrangle Lawn.

They will start on Tuesday 3rd March, in Week 0 (the week after O-Week, and before Week 1).

Bring your bike along, learn how to repair and maintain it, and meet all the other cool people in the Bike Club!
