Harbour Bridge Ride

Every november, a huge critical mass of cyclists ride around Sydney and across the harbour bridge taking up all the north bound traffic lanes.  It’s lots of fun and an unintimidating way to experience cycling in the heart of sydney.  It’s on Friday 27th, November and we meet at the Hyde Park Fountain at 5.30pm and the ride starts at 6pm.

Afterwards, we usually go to the noodle markets in North Sydney but I think this year we should make the after party bigger.  Would you be interested in a picnic/party at one of the parks in North Sydney – possible the park that us just under the harbour bridge?  We were thinking if we could get organised with bike trailors, musical instruments, entertainment, food, decorations and a whole lot of enthusiam, we would make this a really lovely communal event for all those who cycle in Sydney.  If you have some ideas or ways you could contribute to the festivities – please leave a comment or get in touch with me in one way or another.

    Dear cyclists,
Did you think that this may be an inconvenient time for those who have been working all day and need to get home to their children not sit in fing traffic for an hour to wait for you all to get a police escort through the city!
Nextyear you should consider the rest of sydney and cycle somewhere else or a sunday at least!
    Cheers

Sounds good. About time we did that because the noodle market doesn’t cope with us and it’d be more fun to byo food and drinks and meet other like minded beings!

    Happy to be involved.

    Regards
