Minutes of the Annual General Meeting of the UNSW Bike Club

Meeting opened 1:00pm.
1. Apologies
There were no apologies.
2. President’s report
The president Maurice Wells presented his report. He outlined how the club was dealing with a lack of space, and negotiations with the university.
RESOLVED: That the president’s report be accepted.
3. Treasurer’s report
The treasurer presented his report on the finances of the club. He said that the club was in a good financial position, and was meeting costs well.
RESOLVED: That the treasurer’s report be accepted.
4. Constitutional change
It was moved by Chris Moore that the constitution should be repealed and replaced with the Arc model constitution for small clubs, with the aims of our club to remain unchanged.
RESOLVED: That the Arc model constitution for small clubs be adopted as the constitution of the UNSW Bike Club, with the aims/objectives to read: 1. To promote cycling as a form of transport to students and staff of UNSW and the wider community. 2. To provide tools and parts and assist cyclists with maintaining and repairing their bikes. 3. To encourage UNSW and Arc to support cycling through events and facilities.
5. Elections
Nominations were opened for the positions of two Trustees and one Arc delegate. Nominations were received from Alice Blackwood (Trustee), Maria White (Trustee) and Chris Moore (Arc Delegate).
All nominees were elected unopposed.
6. General business
There was no general business.
7. Business without notice
There was no business without notice.
